I..

Dr. Seuss!
I apologize for not being on lately! Today, I got a GO! Baby:) Her name is Amelia, and she is awesome. She makes me want to start so many more projects and use applique more, but I already have so many ideas! I have three major ones for now, My picnic blanket, My 12 Days of Christmas quilt (I will hopefully have the top of this one done realllly soon! and my Dr. Seuss quilt! One problem is i cannot decide what i want to do with my layout on that one, i have two dominating ideas for it, but i can not decide! ALSO, my camping quilt is almost complete, i just have to attach the binding!Which by the way, is one of my favorite parts of quilting!
Today I went to the library and found some amazing books! They also make me extremely excited for future projects. My personal favorite is Dare to Be Square. There are awesome ideas and two quilts that I HAVE to make. This book inspires me to make my own super creative quilts.
I am now starting to draw up a Little Big Planet quilt which will have tons of applique. This is one of my favorite pictures from the game!Anyways, I think that's all for now, I am off to plan this little big planet quilt and decide what screenshots to put in it!

This weekend i also bought my first jellyroll. I cant even tell you how happy it makes me and how excited i am to make this quilt! Its a Christmas quilt, (Kate Spain's twelve days of Christmas)! but i figure its never to early to start! Plus, i love love L O V E Christmas. I also got some real cute Dr. Seuss fat quarters and have planned that quilt! I will have pictures of my campfire quilt up as soon as the binding is on!

She's out back counting stars,

When i went to the fabric store today, I was going to get the batting for my quilt and check out. I did not even want to look at the fabric, but somehow i did. Maybe it was the huge signs that said SALE. They were calling my name, and i couldn't resist. I did not expect to get tons of fabric, but they were having deals too good to pass up! Which led to this->

I have an unhealthy addiction. BUT in my defense, every fabric i got, was under three dollars a yard! Score one for me!:) I got the binding for my campfire quilt today along with the fabric for my next project. Up next i will be embarking on a picnic blanket that has rounded edges. Its pretty scary. me + rounded sewing = disaster. But, we'll see how it goes!

P.S. Here's my binding:)! I'm so excited to get it on there! Oh, I've also decided I am machine quilting this!! Which makes me double excited!

Tonight I,

Tonight I sampled around with some things I haven't done yet on my new sewing machine. I began with making binding strips (which make me happy!) and sampled some machine quilting designs on some cute potholders. Then, halfway through attaching the binding by machine, I realized that I do like it better by hand, it just takes forever! So, tomorrow will be day two of sampling machine quilting. For my camping quilt, i have ruled out the option of hand quilting. I figure i will save that for a more personal, meaningful quilt. Maybe a mothers day quilt? or a Christmas quilt for my Nana:) Anywho, I am off to watch Sixteen Candles and hand sew my binding! Hopefully I'll have some pictures up tomorrow of my potholders!
